OUR HOSTS AND SHOWS

STU SHOSTAK is the owner and program director of Shokus Internet Radio. Stu's career in television and broadcasting dates back to the early 1970s when he began as an audience coordinator for game shows and sitcoms. In 1982, he received his performing break when he was given an opportunity to do the audience warm-up at the popular situation comedy, "Diff'rent Strokes". He did so well that he was assigned regular warm-up duties the following season on the Ricky Schroder sitcom, "Silver Spoons", a position he held for two years. Stu has also done warm-ups for "The Jeffersons", "Mama's Family", "Amen", and many others. Behind the scenes, he's been the owner/operator of Shokus Video, a company dedicated to the preservation of 1950s TV shows on DVD and video tape, since 1979. He was also the producer and director of "The Jack La Lanne Show Commemorative Special" home video, as well as Lucille Ball's personal film archivist for the last ten years of her life. STU'S SHOW, his weekly live Wednesday call-in talk show, features top celebrities from the world of television, both in front of and behind the cameras. He also presides over THE TV SOUNDTRACK SHOW, an entertaining excursion into the world of classic TV theme songs, background music from sitcoms, cartoons, and movies, and other rare out-of-print tracks.
RONNIE PAUL. Ronnie has been a radio DJ and TV host in Fresno, California for over twenty years. For most of that time, he's held court in a four-hour live weekly call-in program that plays big band music and adult standards. It is with great pleasure that Ronnie now hosts his FLYING HOME for us right here on Shokus Internet Radio on Sundays with replays Monday through Saturday. In addition, Ronnie hosts a late night hour, RADIO'S MUSICAL MOMENTS, spotlighting the best clips from vintage musical radio broadcasts.
DWIGHT CURRAN. Like Ronnie Paul, Dwight has been a popular disc jockey in the Fresno area for several years, and has an extensive knowledge of 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s tunes. He plays what he calls "the music that makes you feel good all over" during his live Sunday broadcasts appropriately called DANCE DATE (also rebroadcast Monday through Saturday).
CHRISTOPHER BAY. An extremely talented voiceover performer, Christopher has also worked as an actor, singer, comedian, disc jockey, and master of ceremonies. Christopher hosts CLASSIC COMEDY ONLINE, spotlighting the best routines and bits from the great comedians of the 50s through the 80s - Bill Cosby, Allan Sherman, Bob Newhart, Shelley Berman, Stan Freberg and many others! In addition to his duties as host, Christopher is also our "image voice", providing IDs and promos for all of the programs heard on Shokus Internet Radio.
LARRY ANDERSON. Larry has an extensive background in television that spans over 30 years! Starting out as a professional magician and working on Bill Bixby's series "The Magician", Larry went on to act in such series as "Happy Days", "Brothers and Sisters", and Lucille Ball's last sitcom, "Life with Lucy". In the late 80s, while continuing his successful acting career, his versatility allowed him to branch out and become a game show host/TV spokesperson. He presided over "The New Truth or Consequences", "The California Big Spin", and "Trivia Track" on GSN. It is a privilege to have Larry as the host of our weekly interactive telephone game show, ANYONE CAN PLAY...BUT DON'T CALL US, WE'LL CALL YOU!
RON GREENBERG. With over 50 years of experience in the TV industry, the gifted game show producer brings his creative touch to Shokus Internet Radio. Ron's credits include "The Who What or Where Game", "The Joker's Wild", "Tic Tac Dough", "The Challengers", and many others. We are honored to have Ron on board as a programming consultant. Ron created ANYONE CAN PLAY...BUT DON'T CALL US, WE'LL CALL YOU, our interactive telephone game show, and took on the hosting duties for the show's first 12 episodes. We hope this will be the first of many SIR game shows created by this extremely talented individual.
BOB ILLES. Bob has been a TV comedy writer and producer for over 30 years, and has two Emmy® awards under his belt for his efforts. His credits include "Silver Spoons", "What's Happening!", "One Day at a Time", "Amen", "Sister Sister", and "Goode Behavior", in addition to writing for Carol Burnett, Lily Tomlin, and Dick Van Dyke. Bob brings his wit and wisdom to FUNNY IS MONEY, a series in which he shares his knowledge and offers advice on how to write scripts for television. In addition, bits and sketches created especially for the program are also featured.
TOM KRAMER. Tom is Bob Illes' co-host on FUNNY IS MONEY. Tom brings to the program a wealth of experience writing for such comedy classics as "Fridays", "Candid Camera" and "Not Necessarily the News". He is currently working as director on the Travel Channel's "Made in America" with John Ratzenberger and has recently completed directing an episode of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm".
JEANINE KASUN. Jeanine has been a longtime listener and participant by telephone to many of our shows. She visited Ronnie Paul in person on his "Flying Home" show in December of 2007 and brought with her a playlist of her favorite songs from the 1950s and 1960s. Not only were her music choices the highlight of the program, but her personality also made her an instant hit with the listeners. Jeanine's weekly hour, BABY BOOMER FAVORITES, continues the tradition she started on Ronnie's show with a perfect mix of classic tunes from the 1950s and 60s, as well as novelty songs, and movie/TV soundtrack clips.
GEO. STEWART. Mr. Stewart was born on a mountain top in Tennessee at a very young age. Three years later he killed himself a "b'ar" in Reno just to watch him die. After a surfeit of education and a deficit of employment, he found himself in radio, where he won renown as the inventor of "Traffic and Weather on the Nines." His fortune made, he spent his declining years in a vain effort to play every known novelty record one last time. CRAZY COLLEGE was the result. To learn more about Mr. Stewart, you can visit the official Crazy College web site.
LISA SHOSTAK. At age 9 1/2, Lisa is perhaps the youngest regular DJ on Internet radio. She got the gig because she is extremely talented, well-versed, and also happens to be the daughter of the station owner. Lisa's program, THE DJ AND HIP HOP SHOW, is produced and hosted by Lisa and her friends. It features all the music kids her age listen to and like, as well as stimulating commentary!
